Final Filming (2/12/14 & 4/12/14) (MK)

On the 2nd of December we were able to use our required location to film the performance aspects for our final music video. Due to lack of time, we were only able to film from two sides, but this didn't effect us that much during the editing process due to the fact that we were able to use various different effects to distract and make the footage that we do have look more exciting to view.

On the 4th of December we were able to film narrative aspects with our female actress. This time, we planned our time and were able to get a quality amount of shot from different angles and lighting. We told our actress to look and act exciting and to play around with the props we required (98 balloons).

After filming and building a numerous amount of images to have access to, we have completed our Twitter Page. We have ensured that there is a display picture clearly indicating the boys authenticity. It is evident there are two sides to this Twitter Page, the  'header' is an image of the boys in between filming, being themselves, and the 'display picture' is a screenshot from the music video in character. This will enable the audience to visual the two sides of the boys and get to personally know them.

Update / Changes (All)

As a group, we decided that our original idea/ storyboard wasn't practical. The idea consisted of spending a lot of money and time, which we are both short on. We then discussed on how we can simplify the Music Video according to our budget. The conclusion we all came to was that when it comes down to filming again we are going to record the performance as many times as we can and making sure that we have enough footage/shots to make our video fast-paced when it comes down to editing it. Alongside this, we have decided to go with another story/narrative idea that involves a lot of balloons and our main actors/extras. I think that we can get a stable amount of footage from the two days that we are filming again if we incorporate the advice we had been given and from what we have learnt from this process.

Updated Filming Schedule (All)

From the events that have occurred, we have had to reschedule our two original filming dates to next week due to the actors not being available on the days we need them.


We have come to the conclusion that we have to film on Tuesday 2nd December and Wednesday 3rd December. Our location has changed to suit our needs and access to equipment.


The list of equipment needed is the same and so are the actors.

Recieving Music Video Draft Feedback (MK)

The two performers have lots of potential and charisma that is currently untapped.

• The mise en scene is very poor.
• The choice of shots is non existent.
• The performers must know all the words to the song and the rap.
• The rap must be delivered perfectly - we need to see all of this element lip synced.
• You do not need to lip sync the whole story.

Weekly Reflection Post: 17-21/11/2014 (KC)

Harry still wasn't able to make another session, we were ready to film and were organised. As Michelle kindly bought the boys costumes. Johnny managed to turn up to the session, but Cam went home. We had to call the session of again, as we were unable to film without both the boys being present.

We were unable to film, once again, although the Final Deadline was a few weeks away yet; it was evident that we were poorly organised and we were bad at communicating.

Giving Advert and Digipak Feedback (KC)

As part of a class task, we were required to peer assess each others work and give constructive feedback to one another. This will then give the class members a sense of what the public react to their  work.
