Updated Twitter Account (KC)

@KBMA4

After filming and building a numerous amount of images to have access to, we have completed our Twitter Page. We have ensured that there is a display picture clearly indicating the boys authenticity. It is evident there are two sides to this Twitter Page, the  'header' is an image of the boys in between filming, being themselves, and the 'display picture' is a screenshot from the music video in character. This will enable the audience to visual the two sides of the boys and get to personally know them.

Actor Changes (MK)

Before filming began, we had to make a change in our lead actors due to the fact that in the end they weren't exactly suitable for our style and the theme we were trying to portray. In the end we decided to choose Cam Letts and Jonny Batson to take up the roles. We thought that their friendship would rub off on the theme we were trying to portray and would make the process run a lot easier in regards to making the video look and act exciting alongside our choice of song.

Weekly Reflection Post: 22-26/09/2014 (Whole Group-Scribe KC)

Although, we had the location for the Music Video and we knew that it was going to be performance and narrative. Through lots of discussion, we decided upon a narrative for the story. After analysing the Video, it was evident that we were attempting to 'replicate' it as closely as possible. This was apparent to us; so we decided upon a narrative that was different to the one in the Video.

We experienced some problems as one of the lead guys (Joe Loomes) dropped out of the Video last minute. This problem is fixable, as we can find another guy who fits our genre. The other lead guy, who is permanent throughout the filming process, is Johnny Batson. We managed to find a lead girl who is Bekki Green.

The Costume for the lead girl had been decided and we are ordering a dress this week. The dress is white, and has a modern 1920's twist to it. The guys are borrowing suits for the Music Video. We decided upon a white shirt, tucked in, with a black jacket and jeans; to portray a smart/casual look.

The location has been booked for 8th and 15th October. On the 8th October, we are going to film the lead guys performing on the stage. We are going to get them to sing the entire song. On the 15th October, the narrative is going to be filmed including the lead girls. This will be easier when we go to edit the Music Video.

Twitter Account (KC)

@KBMA4

We are in the process of completing our Twitter Page, in order for our Page to match the theme of our music video. The aspects we need to work on, are the header, display picture and general layout of the Page will need to consist of the 1920s theme.

The purpose of our Twitter Page is that it will enable fans access in following and keeping up to date with the Band's activities. The fans will also be able to connect and socialise with the Band, which will give them more popularity and more fans. Twitter is heavily influential in all age groups, so they are able to receive followers from people from 11-50. Our Band will be able to create a hash tag that if it were put into use enough times, will start trending.

Twitter is crucial for a Band/Artist to have an account on, as a large percentage of the population have it. They will want to follow their friends, favourite TV Shows and favourite Band/Artist; in order to keep up to date with news on them.

Band's Name and Biography (KC)

BAND NAME:
  • Through research of the Band that we have been inspired by, we discovered that they created their band name in relation to their initials. This inspired us as we thought it was unique and wanted to re-invent the idea and use that for our band. For our band name, we based it upon the MKTO idea of creating a name in relation to our initials and decided on KBMA.
  • KBMA follows the conventions of the initials of both the band members, however it is unique as the band name is made up of the members initials. The band name will appeal our target audience as the band consists of members with similar a similar age group. Also, it is catchy and will attract audiences alongside the target as the name will reflect the genre of the band.

BIOGRAPHY:
  • Kyle Blunt and Matt Adams met in 2010 whilst uploading videos onto YouTube, they stumbled upon each other on YouTube and decided to meet up. They later formed together as a duo and came up with the name KBMA, which represents the combined initials of their names and surnames, KB for Kyle Blunt and MA for Matt Adams. They elaborated upon the inspiration for their group name, saying: ''It also stands for what our album kind of is: Misfit Kids and Total Outcasts - just like the kids we were in high school''.
