Possible Shots (KC)

For our video, we have decided upon using mainly close ups and mid shots. We want the audience to feel connected to the music video and the people in it. By using close up and extreme close ups, they are able to see the feelings that the 'character' is expressing.

The close up of the drink, connotes to the extravagant lifestyle that they experienced in the 1920's. The cocktail, kiwi, lipstick and nail varnish indicates the sophistication that the era consisted of. It is evident that hair, make-up and props have had a lot of attention to detail in order to achieve this look. We would need to achieve this, especially with the close ups, as the audience will be able to see whether the look is working due to the attention to detail. Similarly, the deck of cards connotes to the gambling, drinking and partying reputation the 1920's seem to withhold.

The mid shot of the girl and the boys allows the audience to see the actors and the background. This shot enables the audience to establish the location of the music video. Also, they will see them in their element.

Throughout this whole music video, the camera angles used consist of extreme close ups, close ups and mid shots. They want the audience to visualise the attention to detail that has been incorporated into the music video. We want to use these three main camera angles within our music video, to make the audience feel more connected and involved.
